72 Engineers Regiment to guest at Hillsborough for 'Help for Heroes' game

Help for Heroes

Sheffield Wednesday are joining forces with all 72 Football League Clubs this weekend to raise awareness and vital funds for Help for Heroes – The Football League’s Official Charity Partner for the 2009/10 season. The club are very proud to work with a charity which helps rehabilitate members of the British Armed Forces injured in the line of duty.

Our very special guests on Help for Heroes day, members of the 72 Engineers Regiment will be at Hillsborough this weekend for the game against Leicester City so please give them your support!

Activities on Saturday include:

72 Engineers Regiment will be providing the guard of honour for the teams as they come out from the tunnel.
Army vehicles on show in the Megastore car park.
A parade at half time by 72 Engineers.
Bucket collection for the charity before the game.

Additionally, the one-off match-worn shirts will be signed and auctioned online following the game. Keep checking back for links to each of the auctions.

No you can't, but you don't have to pay £5 to get all these average features...
The only thing you have to pay £5 for out of that list is the highlights. Everything else seems to be free.

I wouldn't say they were average either - it's a pretty well put together app that is bespoke to your club when compared to things like Sky.

And it makes money for your club!
Right so now you tell me it makes money for the club?

According to the app, you have to pay a fiver for the highlights, the comparing results and the maps, correct?

The goals will come for him I'm sure. Was unlucky last night with hitting the bar & the long range effort that just creeped over. On another day they would have gone in. He's looking more like the player we know he can be. Great in the air, great link-up play, and a threat on goal. Between him mellor & Morrison I think we have a strikeforce that many championship teams would fear, nevermind league 1!!

The North was already open too with the Westfield (disabled) enclosure).

It is actually cheaper and easier to open the North than have people on the West - because having supporters in the same stand means more stewarding and higher policing costs - not to mention the fact that an arrangement like that has to be made in advance and cannot be made on the day.

The North was in use and we were already able to open that without extra policing costs and Safety Advisory Group approval and so that was the option that was used for contingency.
